TapFunApp ("we", "us") built DeskClear - One Click Clean as a privacy-first application. We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data from your device. This policy explains exactly how the app works.

The Short Version

DeskClear runs entirely on your Mac. We have no servers, no analytics, no trackers, and no advertising. Your files never leave your device.

Information We Do Not Collect

• We do not collect your name, email, or any personal information.
• We do not collect device identifiers, usage data, or crash reports.
• We do not use analytics or performance-monitoring SDKs.
• We do not include third-party advertising or tracking libraries.
• We do not sell or share any data with anyone.

What Happens on Your Device

DeskClear organizes files locally on your Mac:

• File operations: When you clear your desktop, DeskClear moves files from your Desktop into a folder you choose (default: ~/Desktop/Archive). All movement happens through macOS file APIs — nothing is uploaded.
• Preferences: Your settings (shortcuts, language, rules, archive location) are stored locally in the app's sandbox.
• Folder access: If you choose a custom archive folder, DeskClear remembers it using a macOS Security-Scoped Bookmark stored only on your device.

In-App Purchases

DeskClear offers a one-time Pro purchase. The transaction is processed entirely by Apple's StoreKit and the App Store. We never see, store, or handle your payment information — Apple manages the whole process. Apple's Privacy Policy applies.

Data Security

Because DeskClear never transmits data off your device, there is no risk of server-side interception or breach. Your files remain under your control at all times.
